About Melinda King

Melinda King is a counsellor, functional medicine practitioner and nutritionist specialising in the relationship between digestive health, emotional wellbeing and chronic illness.

Her perspective was shaped by profound personal experience: her husband’s decade-long illness and, later, supporting her teenage son through a severe post-infectious condition. Those experiences led her beyond isolated symptom management and towards the biological, psychological and lifestyle factors that can sustain chronic illness.

Today, Melinda works at the Centre for Digestive Health, supporting people with digestive disorders, autoimmune conditions and lifestyle-related chronic disease. She holds a Master’s in Counselling, is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and has trained through the Institute for Functional Medicine.

She is also host of The Mind Manual podcast and an Executive Contributor to Brainz Magazine.

Melinda brings clinical insight, lived experience and rigorous science together to show audiences what isolated symptoms can hide.
